International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications, pp 01 - 04, Vol 01 - No. 02, 2016
Abstract:
The past four decades have seen a growing interest in strategies to enhance the economic status of women, especially in the developing world, through promotion of small and informal sector enterprises. This paper looks at the literature around women entrepreneurs, focusing on female entrepreneurship in the developing world - and more specifically in India. It is hoped that it will be useful to fellow researchers who are undertaking studies in this area. In the light of recent world events, this has become a crucial area to study and understand – especially with respect to motivations, constraints and consequences

Abstract:
Automated chain lubrication systems provide an exact metered quantity of lubricant and apply it reliably to the chain where it is required. Despite new types of material and advanced technology, many chains still require lubrication. Optimum lubrication reduces friction and subsequent wear on chains. The largest relative movement of all chains occurs between the link plate and the chain stud, and it is here where considerable forces are present. Insufficient lubrication of this area will result in premature wear and chain failure. The consequence is expensive production downtime. Precise and efficient lubrication is a prerequisite for trouble-free operation and long life of the chain. Modern automated chain lubrication systems apply precisely metered quantities of lubricant to the chain, exactly where it is needed – while the chain is in operation. Proper metering keeps the lubricant quantity to a minimum, yet ensures sufficient amounts, thus reducing the impact on your budget and, of course, the environment! minimizes chain wear and noise levels. The life span of chains can often be increased by ten times and more.

Abstract:
Exoskeletons are defined as standalone anthropomorphic active mechanical devices that are worn by an operator and work in concert with the operator‟s movements. Exoskeletons are mainly used to increase performance of able-bodied wearer, and to help disabled people to retrieve some motion abilities. The idea of this study is to develop a portable device capable of providing knee-joint mechanical assistance during walking without using external power from onboard actuators (i.e. an "energy-neutral‟ solution). We hypothesized that a passive wearable device using pneumatic damper during walking cycle which is capable of recycling a significant portion of knee joint mechanical work and could reduce the metabolic activity of walking. The constructional goals and features of each and every components used have been considered for its light weight, durability, portable framework without motors or an external energy source to provide an ease in gait cycle. We set out to develop a passive "energy neutral‟ system with following key design objectives:
1. Provide support to the knee joint following a pattern similar to the normal joint moment during walking.
2. Recycle damping energy provided by the pneumatic damper during the gait cycle.

Abstract:
Environmental concerns and limited amount of petroleum fuels have caused interests in the development of alternative fuels for internal combustion (IC) engines. As an alternative, biodegradable and renewable fuel, ethanol is receiving increasing attention. Various experiments in fermentation process is conducted. The variation of ethanol production adding urea and DAP in fermentation camber is observed. An experimental investigation on the application of the blends of ethanol with diesel to a diesel engine was carried out. The experiments were conducted on a water-cooled single-cylinder Direct Injection (DI) diesel engine using 0% (neat diesel fuel), 10% (E10-D), 15 %( E15–D) and 20% (E20–D) ethanol–diesel blended fuels. Experimental tests were carried out to study the performance of the engine fuelled with the blends compared with those fuelled by diesel. The test results show that it is feasible and applicable for the blends with diesel to replace pure diesel as the fuel for diesel engine. In 2008 India imported 128.15 million metric tons of crude, instituting 75% of its total petroleum consumption for that year. By 2025 it will be importing 90% of its petroleum (UNESCAP 2009). In an effort to increase its energy security and independence, the Government of India in October of 2007 set a 20% ethanol blend target for gasoline fuel to be met by 2017. The main objective of this project is to develop an economic framework to determine the implications of blend for economic progress and utilize the sustainable energy sources in optimum.

Abstract:
This paper presents the operation of a distributed generation (DG) system driven by a dc-dc step-up converter and a dc-ac voltage source inverter (VSI) interfaced with the power grid. To create a stable mode when different kinds of loads are connected locally or when working under contingency, the step-up converter must regulate the dc link voltage, allowing the VSI to stabilize its terminal voltage. PI controllers are used to regulate voltages and currents, while a phase-locked loop algorithm is used to synchronize the grid and DG. This system is simulated using MATLAB/ SIMULINK in power system block set.

Abstract:
Voltage and reactive power stability is an issue in wind energy system to achieve an uninterruptible operation. The continuous demand in power system network has caused the system to be heavily loaded insufficient reactive power and causing voltage instability, the external and internal faults also generate instabilities. FACTS devices such as SVC, STATCOM, SSSC, UPFC etc., are the best solution for the voltage and reactive power control. In this paper a fuzzy logic controller is implemented the FACTS devices for improving the voltage and reactive power disturbances in DFIG wind energy system . The performance of the system is presented by using real time voltage and current wave form using MATLAB software
