Abstract:
Semiconductors are in almost every kind of electronic device imaginable. Each and every semiconductor chips undergoes extensive, complex and delicate testing process. To attain economy of scale, semiconductor products are tested in high volume. Furthermore, repair of finished semiconductor products is impractical. Therefore incorporating reliability at the design stage and reducing variation in during testing process have become essential. IC handlers are used to test IC's. Testing is performed in to check the quality of the manufactured product. A failed operation is possible due to misalignment or overlapping of IC during in pick and place operation in IC Handler. Orientation, spacing, arrangement and distribution become increasing interest in failure control. To avoid such failures we employ image processing models to identify the image patterns of the reference image. By comparing, reference image with the captured image during production, the parameters required for overall process control can be analyzed without affecting the process throughput. Reliable Hardware (High Speed Camera) becomes an important prerequisite.

Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to detect the text and face from any video, including the number plate extraction. Text in images contains valuable information and is exploited in many content-based images and video applications. Text detection involves stages like finding the location of text, removing the noise from the text region, extracting the characters, separating the text region from the non-text region, andfinally detecting the text. The role of text detection is to find the image regions containing only text that can be directly highlighted to the user or fed into an optical character reader (OCR) module for recognition. In the fast moving vehicles, a person's face can be detected and extracted from the given video. This work can be useful for camera based security purposes. The proposed text and face detection is implemented using the Matlab software.

Abstract:
The security of inclinations is continually under genuine perils in many parts of Western Ghats, especially in Barliyar-Coonoor slant road expand, making intrusion, loss of human life and economy. To restrict the precariousness of soil grade amidst Barliyar-Coonoor, a fundamental evaluation of roads is required. The stability of the slopes depends on upon the soil shear quality parameters, for instance, Cohesion, Angle of inside rubbing, Unit weight of soil and Slope geometry. The dauntlessness of an inclination is measured by its variable of security using geometric and shear quality parameter in perspective of unbounded grades. In this present study, investigation was done at 10 regions in the above said hill road strectch to estimate the factor of safety of the slope managed by Mohr-Coulomb theory based on shear strength parameter calculated from direct shear test which is a conventional procedure for this study. Back Propagation Artificial Neural Network (BP-ANN) Model is used to expect the factor of safety. The data parameters for the (BP-ANN) are chosen as Cohesion, Angle of inside disintegration, Density and Slope angle and the factor of safety as yield. The results got in BP-ANN system were differentiated and that of conventional procedure and viewed a not too bad comprehension between these two techniques. The results obtained in BP-ANN method were compared with that of conventional method and observed a good agreement between these two methods. The results obtained from these two methods were also compared with the details of actual field Landslide occurred and indicates 71.4% of conventional method locations matching with the physical occurrences and 85.7% of BP-ANN predicted vulnerable locations match with the physically observed landslide locations.

Abstract:
Nowadays, wireless communications has become more important in communication process. The main way to transmit wireless data is by using electromagnetic waves i.e. radio waves. However, radio waves can support fewerbandwidth because of solid spectrum availability. Elucidation to this is data transmission using Visible Light Communication (VLC). Wi-Fi contracts with wireless coverage within premises, whereas Li-Fi is picture-perfect for high neatness wireless data usage in defined area and for mitigating radio interference issues. In Li-Fi ultimately we focus to transmitting multimedia data between two terminals using LED‟s. Li-Fi is a transmission of data through illumination, in which data can be sent through a LED light bulb that varies in intensity faster than human eye can follow. In daily life we are using lights for providing light and not only for that purpose. But, it also for communication process. VLC is emerging as the new technique of data transmission method for short-range communication applications. In this paper we implement and characterize two prototype stereo audio streaming methods and data transmission methods employing VLC. An software architecture is developed to process and stream data. The software architecture is bridged with a hardware section, which facilitates free-space VLC channel, over a Universal Serial Bus (USB) to serial interface.

Abstract:
In this paper, the measurable dynamic characteristic of proximity sensor in experimental and is presented. Through a dynamical model of proximity sensor was fabricated, the measurement results showed the optimal operating range of a mobile robot. If the output signal has more noise, or not smooth during the time spent the tests, control of the mobile robot is difficult. Therefore, the dynamic characteristic of proximity sensor plays a very important role in controlling mobile robot, and influence on the results of dynamic identification. By the hand-made measurement system is successful development, aluminum tapes (50×25) with different thickness are tested. The measured data have demonstrated the output signal of inductive proximity sensor is closely related to the parameters, such as: velocity, sensing distance, thickness of aluminum tape. In addition, base on the comparison results obtained with experimental aluminum tape, aluminum tape plus plastic tape, choose the appropriate thickness of aluminum tape and plastic tape to display results correctly. And when we have perfect models of the dynamic, it becomes the key point for control mobile robot.

Abstract:
WSNs have received noteworthy consideration in current years due to their potential applications in wildlife tracking, armed sensing, traffic investigation, fitness care, atmosphere monitoring, building constructions monitoring, etc. Nodes in WSNs are disposed to letdown due to hardware letdown, energy reduction, communication link faults, mischievous attack, and so on. Every mobile node is free to move in any ways and can change their link at any time. Error free and reliable data transfer between source and destination is the challenges in WSN. Damaged link discovery plays an important part in network failure detection and network management. Malicious data injection plays a noteworthy contribution in network disaster detection and network management. Malicious data injection may cause failure of link in network. The proposed system will enthusiastically detect the link failure and malicious data injection in wireless sensor network. This paper proposes a method which automatically discover link failure detection and malicious data injection in node which may cause network failure. After detection of link failure and malicious data injection data can be securely transferred to the destination and improve the performance of wireless sensor network.

International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications, pp 70 - 74, Vol 02 - No. 04, 2017
Abstract:
In this paper we propose a new method in which air is condensed into water with the help of the low soil temperature and using the water obtained, to irrigate our crop fields instead of the conventional water pump and drip irrigation method. We use an instrument, consisting of a turbine to suck in air from the surroundings and send them through a copper piping. Copper wool is used to facilitate the movement of air inside the copper piping so that a turbulent flow of air is created which helps in efficient condensation due to the surrounding soil temperature. The condensed water inside the copper piping is allowed into the roots of the soil with the help of a semi permeable hose. Thus water is created from thin air. Favourable results have been obtained with sufficient amount of water being generated for crop growth.

Abstract:
Collision detection and navigation is done by ATC system. ATC uses ground based controllers and traffic separation rules to maintain and expedite the flow in airspace. The airbuses are not provided with collision detection system which can be easily controlled by pilots. As a consequence, to sense the barricades in the surrounding airspace and to capture an alternate path by the pilot this system is put into effect. This is achieved by using ultrasonic sensors to detect any obstacles in the surroundings. A control system is placed inside the cockpit in the view of the pilot that displays obstacles with a warning and alternate route for navigating to avoid impact. The proxy route is also available in the control system.

Abstract:
The effect of electron – phonon and Coulomb interactions between charge carriers on the properties ofcuprate superconductors, has been studied. The expectation value of the Hamiltonian was evaluated using second quantization and many body techniques. The equation for the energy of the system at ground state was obtained from the product of the expectation value and the thermal activation factor, exp (-E1/kT). Values of specific heat and entropy against absolute temperature were calculated. In these calculations, the onsite energy of oxygen (Ep) was fixed at 2.0 x 10-6eV. The onsite energy of copper (Ed), hybridization energy of oxygen and copper bands (tpd), the electron – phonon interaction energy, (gep) and energy due to repulsion of copper holes occupying the same orbital (ud), were varied. From the results, it was found that increase in the values of parameters Ed, tpd, gep and ud leads to increase in the transition temperature. It was further found that entropy and specific heat decrease with increase in the values of the parameters. It is concluded that long range electron – phonon and local Coulomb interactions increase the transition temperature of superconducting cuprates. We have obtained a transition temperature of 60 K for some parameters, which correspond to the 60 K plateau ofYBaCuO oxygen content at x = 6.7

Abstract:
Sugarcane is the major component for the production of sugar and ethanol. Ethanol is the predominant fuel in certain countries like Brazil. Hence production of sugarcane stands the most important and competing. Sugarcane grows between the regions 22⁰N and 22⁰S. The moderate temperature with adequate rainfall improves the cultivation of sugarcane. As far as India is concerned, India is the second leading producer of sugarcane. The tropic temperature in India well suits the sugarcane cultivation In populous country as India, there could not be alone mass production and small scale farming plays a vital role. The technology has leaped far ahead in a century. Meanwhile it imposes a major threat of high cost for implementation. This hinders the small scale intensive farmers from implementing and hiring the agricultural machineries. Sugarcane harvesting is a bit difficult and complicated task. It is mostly performed manually or at least in India where small scale cropping lies dominant. Manual harvesting of canes is less efficient and more time consuming on taking into account the fatigue factors of the manual workers. The existing sugarcane harvester comes in the robust structures of tractor and trucks, which prove efficient, though is not affordable by most farmers. The main motive of the project is to reduce the structure to the most compact structure as possible and to minimize the cost of the existing machine to the great extent as possible. In the first attempt, complete automation at the minimal cost is cumbersome. But the manual efforts could be reduced to the possible extent.

Abstract:
Solar energy is the most widely used renewable energy in today's modern world due to its domestic applications and performance. But the energy obtained from the solar is comparatively lower, the cost of the installation is high and battery charging is high only at the zenith. So it is necessary to improve solar power obtained with lesser cost and greater performance. This proposal presents grid-synchronization of inverter for solar PV applications by designing a flyback converter which is operated in discontinuous current mode. In all the currently existing today's system grid synchronization is done with low power converter. Thus, the objective of this paper is to design a flyback converter for high power. Here the transformer is designed based on the panel ratings for converter operation and PV inverter is used thus synchronization conditions are matched and grid synchronization is done. Finally, a prototype at rated power is built and evaluated under the realistic conditions. To track maximum power, the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of Perturb and Observe (P&O) algorithm is used. The efficiency of the inverter and the total harmonic distortion of the grid current are considered for the highest performance of the inverter. The performance of the proposed system is comparably higher to the commercial isolated PV inverters in the market.

Now-a-days the government employees has to come to house and gathered information or details of the particular family on a book or some information sheets and after collecting details they'll pass it to particular BMC office and then proceed on. To resolve such kind of problem we want to create another method to work where it help us to directly pass all those information to the main office instead of passing to local BMC office. So DIGICENS is the solution for this as it is a digitized way of calculating the census or population with the help of modernized technology instead of doing it manually on sheets or papers.

Abstract:
Organic-inorganic hybrid nanocomposite thin film has drawn increasing attention in the development of photovoltaic (PV) cells due to their unique combined electrical and optical properties. A blend of organic and inorganic materials as the active layer in solar cell has been shown to hold significant potential in creating low cost and scalable power conversion. In this study, two types of inorganic materials, titanium dioxide (TiO2) and manganese (Mn) were blended with semiconducting polymer poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) solution and then spin coated on a quartz substrate. Field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) was employed to define the morphology of both samples. Energy-dispersive x-ray emission (EDX) spectroscopy has proven the existence of elements in the film. A new absorption peak at 608 nm was observed when Mn nanoparticles were doped inside the P3HT/TIO2 thin films as shown by the ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectrophotometer. Substitution of Ti lattice sites with Mn atoms causes red-shift to the optical absorption spectra, allowing the doped photoactive layer to absorb longer wavelengths of the solar radiation. The transition metals such as Mn is expected to open a land of promising applications in the solution-processed hybrid organic-inorganic nanocomposite solar cell applications.

Abstract:
The wireless medium being inherently broadcast in nature and hence prone to interferences requires highly optimized medium access control (MAC) protocols. This holds particularly true for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) consisting of a large amount of miniaturized battery-powered wireless networked sensors required to operate for years with no human intervention. There has hence been a growing interest on understanding and optimizing WSN MAC protocols in recent years, where the limited and constrained resources have driven research towards primarily reducing energy consumption of MAC functionalities. In this paper, we have modified S-MAC protocol using novels techniques to reduce energy consumption namely coordinated adaptive sleeping, message passing and idle listening. We evaluate our modified S-MAC protocol using NS2 software and compare the results with simpler sensor medium access control protocol and also IEEE 802.11.

Abstract:
Vehicular communication is one of the most advanced technologies used in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) communication is one of the most durable ways to get rid of accidents than the automated vehicles, which tends to be annoying and unreliable when the vehicles stop, while the drivers have their own plans. This V2V communication is solves the problems by cooperative driving. In co-operative driving, the information about the nearby vehicles is displayed in the LCD display - like their acceleration, steering wheel angle and braking style. Alerts will be sent to the driver by buzzering during emergency situations. Not only to avoid crashes, this can also be used for many purposes like communication between vehicles by radio transmitter and receiver, to identify special vehicles like Ambulance, Police vehicles, etc. We can make sure that the path we are going is safe or accident free by the instant message from the damaged vehicle to the vehicles nearby and to them those are coming by that way and also to help people change the way we drive vehicles.

Abstract:
The aim of our paper is to make this robot walk on any Surfaces with a stiff gait slow and carries a limited load. It could be used for surveillance in sewer maintenance. This project Involves the design and fabrication of a kinematic walker. This kinematic walker is six-legged machine. It can walk on any surface. It is an arrangement of six linkages. This device is analogous to a six-legged insect. The kinematic walker Comprises six legs that move Simultaneously to Provide motion. Each of synthesis six linkages are made of a four bar mechanism. These six legs move synchronously with several angular intervals in between them so that they give a walking motion just like a six-legged insect. These legs are supported by a four fixed links. These fixed links are connected to the leg by a crank link which is the source of rotation. These legs are also connected to the connecting rod through a rocker arm which guides it. When the crank link rotates, the leg rotates and moves front and thus the walking motion is achieved. All the six legs must be rotated simultaneously to achieve the perfect walking motion.

Gross-Pitaevskii mean field equation for the boson distribution in the trap is solved by utilizing Thomas-Fermi Approximation to extract the density profile of the fermion and boson components. The results show that the Fermi gas will constitute a core enclosed by the Bose condensate when the boson-fermion interaction strength( 𝑕) is less than the boson-boson interaction strength(𝑔) i.e. 𝑕<𝑔. For 𝑕=𝑔, the fermions have a constant spatial density where the bosons are localized and thus both condensates co-exist simultaneously. For 𝑕>𝑔, fermions constitute a shell around a core of Bose condensate.

Abstract:
The aim of our project has to design a windmill pump and therefore our scope will be limit the power consuming to a windmill for water pumping. The windmill drives a pump that pumps water from a well for irrigation. Calculations have been made on the energy available in the wind and an energy analysis was then performed to see what wind speed is required for the system to work. However, all these sources are limited and are the main cause of pollution and this has led to development and more focus on sustainable energy supply with minimum pollution effects. Hence research and analysis has shown that wind energy, solar energy and biomass are the most prominent solutions to the above problems because they eco-friendly and readily available in nature. Wind energy can be generated using windmills that provide mechanical energy that is used directly on machinery e.g. water pump and grinder; or wind turbines that provide electrical energy.

Abstract:
Image data is becoming more and more popular due to the prevalence of image capture devices.Nowadays the main challenging issue is how to retrieve the images efficiently and effectively from a huge number of images. Image classification is a technique of assigning each input vector pertaining to an image to one of a finite number of discrete class or category in large image dataset. In this paper it is examined and explored the thought of mixture models for image categorization. In this paper we first segment all images at segmentation stage in order to find out the color difference or color homogeneity between one pixel to neighboring pixels. Since Gaussian Mixture Models (GMM) is one of the most significant method for clustering in unsupervised context we use the concept for image categorization. Here in this paper we use K-means technique is applied for partitioning image pixels into coordinated clusters. Further transformation matrix for each of the clusters is obtained by applying subspace methods such as Principal Component analysis (PCA) and Fisher's Linear Discriminant (FLD) to all segment classes. The Expectation and maximization (EM) algorithm is applied to Gaussian mixtures. In this paper for better classification we use Distance Measures (DM) and Probability Neural Network (PNN).The results obtained in this paper gives the improved classification rates when compared to previous methods or traditional methods. The datasets can be used such as Wang, Caltech-101 and Caltech-256.

Abstract:
Leachate originating from open refuse dumpsite systems can be delineated through an integration of qualitative and quantitative methods. This study was designed to examine extent of leachate and pollution from one of the numerous open refuse dumpsites in Tamil Nadu. Qualitative assessment was determined using Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) geophysical methods. The methods were projected to produce 2-D view of the site which shows a NW-SE flow pattern of the leachate and possibly, the groundwater. Quantitative assessment was achieved by analysis of geochemical substances in the water samples taken from wells and boreholes in the precinct of the dumpsite. Here, we examine the macro elements, salts (sulphates, nitrates and chlorides), heavy metals contents and physical parameters of the water samples. The analysis reveal the presence of these substances in the water and their strong correlations justified the provenance as the same. As part of the quantitative evaluation, physical parameters (pH, TDS, total hardness and electrical conductivity) of the water samples were also determined. The samples pH plotted in the alkaline domain unsuitable for human consumption. Leachate flow direction was generated from the decreasing concentration of measured parameters (geochemical elements and physicals properties) in NW-SE direction which agrees with similar flow pattern deduced from VES results.
