Abstract:
Increasing the development of industrialisation and population growth have brought a considerably rise of hazardous residues to the forefront. The overall aim of this report is to study the BOD flowing into a river and lake system for two hours caused by a fault of an outfall from a wastewater treatment plant. This wastewater outfall has usually 20 mg/l of BOD At the final stage of the system in a city example of approximately 25,000 inhabitants (UK) is located. BOD levels of all points of the system have to be maintained below 6 mg/l according to EU Freshwater Fish Directive. The concept of environmental modelling has emerged as one of the main tools for environmental science, not only because of increasing concerns about climate change, but also because the constant grow of computer tools. A complex real process can be simplified with a numerical or analytical model that shows the chemicals transformations in a specific volume and the velocity of these ones. Reactor engineering is the core of essentially most of the environmental analysis and is based on chemical kinetics (to determine the rates of reaction) and the mass balance. In this context, chemical processes can be approximated by assuming a finite volume reactor tanks involving flow and mixing profiles. The mathematical model is generally selected depending on the flow regime of the river and the process In order to predict the behaviour of the leakage and how long it is necessary to reach the city, the current system is modelled by using two tank reactor models: CSTR (Continuous Stirred-Tank Reactor) and PFR (Plug Flow Reactor). Last option modelled was the combination of both suggestions: building an outfall pond and enlarging the flood storage. The favourable volumes were 5000 m3 for the pond and 30000 m3 for the extension of the flood storage.

International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications, pp 10 - 14, Vol 04 - No. 10, 2019
Abstract:
Today's Era of modern globalization is full of challenges and opportunities, the Government should be able to provide effective and efficient services so as to increase competitiveness in the nation's economy. The research approach used is a qualitative approach. This approach is used to be able to see, know and describe the actual state in detail and actual. The data analysis techniques in this study use interactive models, with four interfacing process stages, namely data collection, presentation and, data reduction and conclusion withdrawal. The conclusion of this research shows that there are several factors that can drive the success of the implementation of the licensing service system to be integrated into the city of Muara Teweh Central Kalimantan province, namely communication factors apparatus and the source factor Apparatus that even though the agency does not have operational standards of service.

International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications, pp 20 - 28, Vol 04 - No. 10, 2019
Abstract:
The objective of this research was to calculate the electrical energy that can be generated by a kinetic turbine from Palaus river in South East Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. The calculation was performed by using HOMER 2.68 Beta. There were two data required for the calculation: the profile of daily electricity usage of the buildings around the river and the monthly average flow velocities in a year of the river. The first data were acquired by sharing questionnaires to the residents of Tosuraya village, which is located around Palaus river. The second data were obtained from two sources. Firstly, from direct measurement, which was carried out to measure monthly average flow velocities of several months: June, July, August, September and October. Secondly, for the other months, the monthly average flow velocities were determined by comparing the average flow velocity in June to the monthly average rainfall in South East Minahasa regency. Then, the results of monthly average flow velocities in a year of Palaus river were as follows: January 2.06 m/s, February 3.74 m/s, March 3.24 m/s, 4.11 m/s, May 1.67 m/s, June 1.16 m/s, July 0.82 m/s, August 0.72 m/s, September 0.60 m/s, October 0.57 m/s, November 1.78 m/s and December 3.36 m/s.
After all data were inputted to HOMER 2.68 Beta, it was found that the power generation system for Palaus river recommended by HOMER consisted of Darrieus Hydrokinetic Turbine and a converter, and the electricity produced by the system from Palaus river was 10.294 kWh/year.

International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications, pp 29 - 35, Vol 04 - No. 10, 2019
Abstract:
Local Television in Surabaya is an industry engaged in entertaiment, found the problem of low employee performance. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of conflict and work stress both partially, simultaneously to the employee's performance. This research is a quantitative study with a sample number of 63 respondents who were local television employees in Surabaya using saturated sampling techniques.
Based on the calculation results of SPSS version 23 known partial conflicts have no effect and are not significant to the employee's performance with T calculate 1,039 < Ttabel 1.670 with a significant value of 0299 which means > 0.05. Partially there is no influence between conflict and employee performance. While work stress has a partial effect on the performance of employees with Thitung results = 3,333 > 1.670 with a value of 0.001 < 0.05. Simultaneous conflicts and occupational stress affect employees ' performance with the results of F 9.965 > Ftabel 3.15 with a significant value of 0.000 which means a significant value of < 0.05.
