Abstract:
Light weight composite materials filled with hollow glass microspheres (HGMs) have been widely used as thermal insulation materials, due to the extremely small thermal conductivity of HGM which is mainly caused by enclosed gas pore. However, for extensive industrial applications, the compressive performance of composite material also needs to be considered. This work focuses on the numerical prediction of compressive properties of hollow glass microsphere filled cement matrix composites. The volume fraction of filler is changed from 5% to 20%. Under the applied compressive stress and displacement constraints, the representative unit cell is solved by finite element simulation to determine the normal strains in the compression and transverse directions. Then, the compressive modulus and Poisson ratio can be evaluated for assess the compressive properties of composites. The results can provide guidance to the design of cement-based composite filled with HGMs.

Abstract:
In a tidal turbine of electric power production, a fundamental component of its safe operation is the sealing seal, so that water does not penetrate the turbine machinery and thus cause a catastrophic breakdown. The current turbines that are started to be installed on the coast reach power generation of 2MW and its sealing seals, in addition to having sealing seals of elastomers, have a pressurized circuit above the pressure of the water at its point of installation, as a guarantee of this essential sealing. It is studied in this experiment as the configuration of the supports of the transmission shaft of the rotor/seal affects the results of dynamic phenomenons known as “oil whirl” and “oil whip”. Rotor start-up date are given in the form of cascade spectra indicating thresholds of stability and whirl/whip forward sine-sweep perturbation of the rotors, while maintaining a constant rotational speed show the existence of two distinct resonances. The first resonance occurs at the forward perturbation frequency close to ½ rotation speed (“oil whirl” resonance) an the second resonance occurs at forward perturbation frequency close to the natural bending frequency determined by the rotor mass an stiffness (“oil whip” resonance). The configuration and position of the support bearings of the transmission shaft reveal different frequencies to which are produced these phenomena of “oil whirl” and “oil whip”, which should be taken into account in the design of this turbine to ensure the sealing of its sealing seal.

Abstract:
The implementation of sustainable development practices (affordable) is indeed a must in the housing industry in Malaysia in general. Sustainable development practices promotes positive activities that will ensure fairness, effectiveness, divergence, less disparity, less discrimination, inexpensive, reasonable priced, pleasant design, serenity, mutual comfort and many other characteristics to the future house buyers. The developer and house buyers must converge at a point where no one is short changed due to limitation in the applicarion mechanism of sustainable development practices in the housing industry. The objective of the study is to investigate the relationships between affordable and implementation of sustainable development practices in the housing industry. This study adopted both qualitative and quantitative methods to triangulate the findings. The quantitative survey method, as the dominant approach, was used to collect data using convenience sampling from 384 respondents living in Kedah, Malaysia. Meanwhile, interviews were conducted purposively on a total of 10 representatives from active developers operating in Kedah, Malaysia. Pearson correlations were used analyse the data to answer the objective of the study. In general, the findings showed that the score for affordable in the sustainable development practices and implementation in the housing industry is good with an average value between 4.02 and 4.26. The results of Pearson correlation analysis show implementation of sustainable development practice (affordable) that is also significant at level p≤0.01 and r = 0.143. This means that the implementation of sustainable development practice (affordable) is good but the prevailing relationship is still weak or low (approximately 14.3%). The findings of interviews conducted with informants from the developer shows that their engagement is good, particularly with implementation of sustainable development practice (affordable). Therefore, this study suggests that a comprehensive channels should be established, whether formally or informally to ensure the role of various parties can be increased more effectively in ensure the implementation of sustainable development practice (affordable) in the housing industry Kedah, Malaysia.

International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications, pp 22 - 27, Vol 04 - No. 05, 2019
Abstract:
In the process of making bread, different ingredients are added to enhance the development of continuous protein networks that are necessary for bread quality. In this study, glucose oxidase derived from Aspergillus niger additions produced higher bread volume and promoted a longer life of the finished product. By the Box – Wilson method, optimization conditions were determined as follow: the optimal temperature of fermentation was 31oC, the time of fermentation was 103 mins, and ratio ES was 0.03%. The results confirmed that the glucose oxidase addition significantly improved bread quality. Under the optimal fermentation conditions, the volume of bread (328.6 cm3) was higher than the control sample (159.7 cm3).

Abstract:
The algebraic reconstruction technique (ART) is a class of iterative algorithms used in computed tomography. These reconstruct an image from a series of angular projections (a sinogram). and showed its use in image reconstruction; whereas the method is known as Kaczmarz method in numerical linear algebra. ART can be considered as an iterative solver of a system of linear equations . The values of the pixels are considered as variables collected in a vector and the image process is described by a matrix . The measured angular projections are collected in a vector

International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications, pp 33 - 39, Vol 04 - No. 05, 2019
Abstract:
The SCM (Software Configuration Management) is an activity, which configures the form of a system (documents, programs, and hardware) and systematically manages and controls modifications used to compile plans, development, and operations resulting from software development and maintenance. This process improves the quality of the software and is highly correlated with the development of reliable software. This paper presents the analysis, methods, and techniques of embodiment of the configuration management system design method, which is based on the systematic management of documents based on projects and activities. Since this system is designed based on the foundation of the web, it provides the user with high accessibility, maximizing the efficiency in carrying out tasks
