Abstract:
Academic advisory assignment is a process found at most colleges. The success of academic advising depends a lot on the teacher who gives the advice, providing a good assignment between the teacher and the student benefits in carrying out the advising since the teacher allows him to develop a teaching methodology of great impact to increase the guarantee of success and is reflected in the student's learning. In the tutoring department of the Reynosa Rodhe Multidisciplinary Academic Unit (UAMRR), this process is optimized by implementing genetic algorithms in a web application. This allows teachers to be evaluated and processed using the genetic operators of selection, crossing and mutation. In order to carry out the evaluation and processing of the teachers, 4 criteria are identified: their relationship with the subject, affinity with the student's area, relationship between the student's learning method with the teacher's teaching style, and finally, the teacher's availability. These criteria form a chromosome to which a value is assigned according to the fitness function. Having a fitness value begins the processing by the genetic algorithm. Upon completion, it provides the most optimal solution found and we identify the selected teacher.

AICTE Guidelines, 2021 for Open and Distance Learning and Online Education in Higher Technical Institutions
Authors:
H. M. Naveen

International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications, pp 10 - 15, Vol 06 - No. 09, 2021
Abstract:
AICTE has through gazette notification issued Guidelines in 2019 for imparting education through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode by Standalone Institutions, and Institutions – Deemed to be Universities, and amended the same in 2020 to bring these guidelines in conformity with UGC (ODL) Regulations, 2017 and 2018. As the NEP, 2020 has laid emphasis on increasing GER through the use of ICT and to promote ODL and Online Education, AICTE has framed comprehensive guidelines entitled as AICTE (Open and Distance Learning Education and Online Education) Guidelines, 2021. These guidelines are applicable to Standalone Institutions, Institutions – Deemed to be Universities, and Universities conducting Diploma, Post Diploma Certificate, Post Graduate Certificate, Post Graduate Diploma and Post Graduate Degree level programmes in the field of Management and allied areas, Computer Applications, AI and Data Science in the Engineering and Technology domain, Logistics and Travel and Tourism. These Guidelines will lay down the minimum norms and standards for programmes, curricula, admissions, physical and instructional facilities, faculty and staff patterns, their qualifications, quality teaching and learning, instructions, assessment and examinations for the award of degree. This article enlighten the readers on these key aspects of AICTE (ODL and/or Online) mode(s) of Education.

International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications, pp 16 - 23, Vol 06 - No. 09, 2021
Abstract:
Hyperspectral image classification has drawn more and more attention recently. However, the high number of spectral bands and the low number of labeled sample points hamper the increasing of classification precision of the hyperspectral images. This paper presents a maximum margin criterion and manifold Learning (MCML) based hyperspectral image classification method. MCML method has two advantages: (1) it is a supervised dimensionality reduction method, which improves the discriminative ability of new feature set by exploiting label information of original training sample points; (2) it is a nonlinear method that projects the original feature set into a new feature set by preserving the local relation between sample points. The proposed method is applied to hyperspectral image classification and is examined using real hyperspectral data sets. Experimental results show that it is more suitable for hyperspectral image classification tasks than the other methods.
