Abstract:
This paper deals the laboratory results of palm biodiesel contaminated sand-concrete interface performance. The simple shear test was carried to get interface results. Mining sand with various percentage of palm biodiesel addition is used for this research. The tests were performed with consideration of two different interfaces, that is smooth interface and rough interface. From this experimental study it is ascertained that shear strength is based on the palm biodiesel content in the mining sand and the concrete surface texture. The results also conclude that sand-concrete interface failure envelopes are in the forms of sliding and deformation.

Abstract:
Throughout history, war can be categorized into four distinct generations, starting with direct military tactics, minimal technical improvement and changing its course with the third generation's indirect approach attack strategies until reaching a decentralized style of combat where states are losing control of classical dynamics. In terms of conflict, the fourth generation resembles insurgency and guerrilla warfare, as we can see in the case of the 2006 lebanon war which, respecting the characteristics and peculiarities of this kind of conflict, involved a violent non-state actor in conflict with a state entity, and included acts of genocide against civilians, mass-media manipulation, perception management through propaganda and much more. In conclusion, we are now seeing a new, hybrid type of war, to which it seem we do not know how to respond yet or countersince the factor of insurgents' decentralization goes against everything previously taught in terms of tactics and strategies. Due to its problematic nature defensive methods are needed, for example, in terms of propaganda better control over media is crucial.

International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications, pp 13 - 18, Vol 02 - No. 02, 2017
Abstract:
In this research, an experimental investigation of the machining parameters of Aluminium Alloy 6063 in CNC lathe machine for turning operation using TNMG115100 tungsten carbide insert had been carried out. In machining operation, the minimum surface roughness and maximum Material Removal Rate are important factors for the better quality of the product and production rate. Thus, the choice of optimized cutting parameters is very important for controlling the required quality. The purpose of this research is focused on the analysis of optimum cutting conditions for minimum surface roughness and maximum material removal rate in CNC turning of Aluminium Alloy 6063 by Taguchi method. The experiment has been carried out based on L9 standard orthogonal array design with three process parameters namely Spindle Speed, Feed rate, Depth of Cut. The experiment results were used to characterize the main factors affecting surface finishing and the material removal rate by Signal to Noise ratio and Analysis of Variance method. The investigations infers that the surface roughness and material removal rate were influenced by the feed rate. It was identified that the Surface roughness decreases with increase in feed rate and MRR increases with related to the feed rate.

Abstract:
The analysis conducted in this article is meant to raise the issue of the role of preventive diplomacy both in a historical context and in modern times as a tool for combating terrorism. At first, this article analyzes the development of preventive diplomacy and how it spread in the context of a post-cold war international worldunder the coordination of the united nations security council and the importance of the document later published"an agenda for peace". Also, it researches the means and ways through wich preventive diplomacy has evolved. The case study focuses on the means of preventive diplomacy applied in macedonia after the end of the cold war and the fall of the soviet union. The importance of preventive diplomacy can only be understood by evaluating the effectivnes of the un mesures in the balkan war with the close cooperation between n.a.t.o. o.s.c.e. the e.u. adopting a number of measures in order to reduce te eventuality of war. In the end, this research will show how this type of diplomacy can be developed and adapted to fight terrorism.

International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications, pp 27 - 31, Vol 02 - No. 02, 2017
Abstract:
The necessary to IC engine is to usage of diesel as a fuel in an economic and environmental benevolent manner. The existing scenario, the very low combustion efficiency of compression ignition engine leads to poor performance of the engine and more emission of incomplete combustion by-products. Hence it was planned to improving the performance efficiency of compression ignition engine and thereby to reducing the exhaust emission by adding n-butanol or n- butyl alcohols at different proportions like 5%, 10% and 15% by fuel volume with diesel fuel. The different performance characteristics observed are while using blending of n- butyl alcohols or n-butanol with diesel were compared and analyzed with engine using without adding any n- butyl alcohols or n-butanol, normal diesel as fuel. The various researcher report that performance analysis at 70% load applied the brake thermal efficiency of engine is increased by 11.789% for 10% n- butyl alcohols or n-butanol blended with diesel fuel. According to various researcher view emission test at 70% load revealed that, the CO, HC and smoke density are increased by 22.222%, 28.571% and 14.757% respectively for 10% blending of n-butanol or n- butyl alcohols with diesel. The NOx emission while using 10% n-butanol blended with diesel is decreased by 19.131% at 80% load.

International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications, pp 32 - 38, Vol 02 - No. 02, 2017
Abstract:
Optical wireless communication (OWC) in the infrared and visible range is quite attractive solution, especially where radio communication face challenges. Visible light communication (VLC) a data communications medium uses visible light (VL) over a range of 400 and 800 THz (780–375 nm) and is a subset of OWC technologies. With an increasing demand for use of wireless communications, wireless access via Wi-Fi is facing many challenges especially in terms of capacity, availability, efficiency and security. Li-Fi uses intensity modulation and direct detection. Therefore, the signals must be strictly real valued and positive. These constraints pose limitation on digital modulation techniques. These limitations result in spectrum-efficiency or power-efficiency losses. In this paper, we investigate an amplitude shift keying (ASK) based orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal transmission scheme for VLC technology. The ASK technique also works efficiently for transmission of digital data over optical fiber. In this paper, M ary ASK is proposed for use in OFDM systems.

International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications, pp 39 - 44, Vol 02 - No. 02, 2017
Abstract:
The concrete filled steel tubular (CFST) members have been used widely in high-rise buildings and bridges due to their large deformation and energy absorption capacity and its efficient interaction between the steel tube and the concrete core. However, CFST column has the drawback of local buckling at steel tube due to the deterioration of the confinement effect. And also, the members may be deficient because of the environmental effects (climate, corrosion etc.) and ageing. The fibre reinforced polymers (FRPs) will provide solution not only to improve the behavior of those members and also to protect them from corrosion due to their advantages such as high fatigue strength, light in weight, high stiffness and resistance to corrosion. In this paper, an analytical investigation has been carried out to investigate the behavior of bare and FRP strengthened slender CFST members in terms of confinement ratio, lateral confining pressure, material degradation parameter and load carrying capacity using various codal provisions and literatures. The analytical study is also focused on the effects of diameter-to-thickness ratio, slenderness of the columns and the stiffness of the FRP jacket. The results revealed that the FRP jacket either substantially delayed or completely suppressed the local buckling failure of the steel tubes.

Source:
International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications, pp 15 - 48, Vol 02 - No. 02, 2017
Abstract:
A rating of the mobile application should depend on the number of installation of the application. The TrustSVD integrates multiple information sources into the recommendation model to reduce cold start problems and data sparsity, but it does not recommend top-N applications. The uninstallation procedure fully avoids these problems and increase the recommendation performance of applications. It maintains the real application user's count. If an installed application is deleted by the user then the count of installation should be deduced by one. The backend algorithm maintain the number of real installed user through the internet. If a user enter in the market, the application used by the user should be updated in the market for rating. Then the number of downloads and uninstallation count will displayed on the app description with the user ratings. Thus the real value of the applications will be obtained to the user.

International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications, pp 49 - 53, Vol 02 - No. 02, 2017
Abstract:
In this paper, we intend to study the effect of initial frequency chirp on Gaussian pulse in anoptical fiber at 1550 nm wavelength. Over a certain propagation distance, the Gaussian pulse evolves into a soliton pulse when the chirp induced by self-phase modulation (SPM) gets exactly balanced by the chirp produced by group velocity dispersion (GVD). Further, the introduction of appropriate chirp into the appropriate dispersion regime leads to the generation of ultrashort pulses which signifies the compression process.
